Bad News: In addition to bigots getting a victory with the passing of Prop 8 in California, San Franciscans voted down a measure to name a sewage plant after George W. Bush. You may remember a cartoon I did on this a few months ago.

Naming the sanitation facility after George W. Bush really would NOT have been fair to the civil servants who worked there. They do important work that the citizens of SF depend on. Why punish them by sullying them and their workplace by stamping George W. Bush's name? Don't they deserve better?
Well, you're right. And that's kind of the point I make in that comic--a functioning Sewage plant without torture and corruption shouldn't be named after him.
