I'm sorry, but I just don't buy the whole "Democrats don't have spines" meme. They're doing exactly what they intend to do, which is serve their corporate benefactors. That includes Obama. In fact, one Democratic Senator (I can't remember who) recently said he was glad Massachusetts voted Republican because it restored balance. Translation: "We don't have the super-majority anymore so we don't have to maintain the idea of doing the people's will unfettered by Republicans. Now we can serve our corporate benefactors much easier, since we can claim gridlock again."
