CWA Signing in D.C.

Our big CWA signing in DC was a hit. About 120 people showed up with standing room only. Thanks to all those that came out. Above is a cover I did for last week's Washington Post Express Weekend Pass section to promote the event. They did a write-up on our group and interviewed Ruben Bolling.

Glad it was a success - welcome home.

Really laughed at your toon. One of my all-time favorite editorial cartoons was a "touching" image of Pope John Paul II and Terri Schiavo holding hands, walking into Heaven together.

She was, of course, wearing a label that said "TERRI SCHIAVO." All that was missing was a sign that said "PEARLY GATES."

A funny illustration around that time was done for the cover of the Seattle Stranger (by Brian Sendlebach). The gaunt, near death pair were racing towards a fresh grave as the media cheered.

Hey Matt,

Check out these really old editorial cartoons by George Herriman (yes, the guy who did "Krazy Kat"). Lot of labeling in them -

I generally don't mind cartoons that uses labels, although I will agree that this shtick is REALLY old.
