Happy Thoughts

John McCain's Chief Economic Adviser, Phil Gramm, said our "nation of whiners" is only in a "mental recession." Get someone at Freddie Mac some happy pills so we can fix this mess! Actually, scratch that. We need a deeper solution to our mental woes than pharmaceuticals. A holistic approach.

Sounds like a job for one of the biggest BS artists in the land...

While your cartoon is funny (especially as I have a friend who has bought Chopra's line completely), I think the bigger story is that these uber-privaledged individuals (Gramm, Will, etc.), are so far removed from the real world, that this recession must be a figment of our imaginations.
These people are so wealthy that gas prices, healthcare, home values, and job security are not hurting them at all. I'm surprised that no cartoonist has portrayed these bozos as pre-revolutionary French aristocrats advising us to eat cake.
