And now, in the "not totally fucked up" category of news:
Iraqis celebrate the beginning of the end of the six year illegal United States occupation of their country: http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2009/jun/30/iraq-power-handover
Covered brilliantly all over the world, except in the US, where Michael Jackson's legacy as a self made albino musician and accused kiddy-toucher obviously has a more significant impact on the world than the unnecessary deaths of a few hundred thousand civilians.
If that's true... If Ossama Bin Laden is really needed to wake up America with a (I assume) nuclear strike... Then it is perfectly logical for an "American patriot" to bomb the US disguised as a Bin Laden.
I'm afraid the Poor Man had the definitive takedown of this comment: (I'm paraphrasing, PoorMan is blocked by my office web filters)
Scheur: "The only thing that can save this country from a spectacular Al-Qaida terror attack, would be... a spectacular Al-Qaida terror attack. The country must be razed, in order to save it. From being razed."
To which Glenn Beck responds, "So that's why, if I were bin Laden, I wouldn't do it right now..."
In other words, Glenn Beck is saying, "If I were bin Laden, I would put the kibosh on my next spectacular terror attack, in order to have a better chance of carrying out the next spectacular terror attack _after_ that one... because he would then... actually want to deceive... to take advantage of the... ummmm... liberal appeasers... ummm... [why is blood coming out of my nose?]"
