Bors Animated!

I've teamed up with animator extraordinaire Mark Fiore this week for a collaboration based on my recent ACORN comic. Check it out and let me know what you think!

Great one! A little rough, but a good start. Did you have Ted Rall doing any of the voices?

That's so awesome! An excellent animated adaptation of the comic. Do you do any of the voices Matt?

Thanks. I didn't do any of the voices (nor Ted). Mark was the pimp and guy that says "party."

It really caught the spirit of your drawing, which kind of reminds me of some of the art in the old as hell PC game Fallout. It just needed a bassline.

It's a combination of my two favorite political cartoonists. How could it go wrong? I'm not quite sure, but it did. It was slow and a little bit unintelligible.

The right idea is there. It just needs some refinement. I think the first place to start would be to not translate the panel-based timing of the comic directly into the cartoon. Instead, you should rewrite the storyboard from scratch.

Sorry for being harsh. But like I said, you're my two favorite political cartoonists. Therefore, I want it to be the best.

Like all of Fiore's animations, the voice work left a lot to be desired.

Well done, Matt.

If there's any improvement to be had to the story, while I know this was in your minds when you did the toon, pointing out that the Repugs' proposed 'defund ACORN' crap is an example of a 'bill of attainder' and thus unconstitutional. If any legislation were introduced that in a general sense defunded contractors or federal grant recips which have been caught out in unlawful activity, KBR/Hallibacon and Blackwater/Xe are at the head of the list. KBR has killed 18 US service personnel with dodgy power wiring since 2003 (and got $80mil in BONUSES for their trouble) and Blackwater has committed wholesale murder at Haditha. Hard to pack so much info into one short toon or animation, I know- but the hypocrisy needs more illumination.
