Any strip that makes use of my fave novel of the future to come gets kudos in my book... being accurate about my hometown, that earns double bonus points.
I do think that Detroit is the big,fat dying canary in the coal mine of media manipulation. Telling us one thing while the reality is another. Somehow, people will believe what they are told.
I live in a Detroit suburb, and you know its bad when they can film the remake of Red Dawn and not have to change the scenery one bit. Post-apocalyptic is the only word you can use to describe it. But yet, we still have a funny amount of pride about being from the 'Dirty D' (at least those of us who live outside the city limits do!)
Employment is slavery. Homelessness is wealth. Job security is terrorism. Brownie was doing a heckuva job. And the TSA system works.
