Liberals are worse!

"That a reckless and depraved liberal elite would set itself up as moral tutor to Pope Benedict XVI is beyond satire." - George Neumayr, editor of the Catholic World Report.

Go read the rest. It's complete with mentions of gay adoptions (apparently bad?), Michael Jackson, Planned Parenthood and NAMBLA. NAMBLA: the group every card-carrying latte liberal supports! (If they're aren't already a member, of course.) You might even say the column is "beyond satire."

The Catholic Church's response to this criminal scandal has been horrible. Blaming gays, secularists, the media and whoever else isn't helping their position. It's typical of conservative Catholics and this pope in particular to lash out against secularists while glossing over their church's failings. (In this case, "failings" is intended to mean "actively covering up a worldwide pedophilia crises for decades.") I'm reminded of their "blame secularists" mentality in this comic from a few years ago...

Matt - That's always been my favorite of all your comics. Your talent for explaining paragraphs in just a few lines and panels is amazing. I'd like to order a print of that, am I reading the date on the side correctly as "12-12-07?" I'll email you this question also. Thanks, Ed

Excellent, I just made the order and it's time to go shopping for a suitable frame.

oh man that's good. How do you consistently come up with this stuff? Have you thought about making a book collecting your political cartoons? Something with Lulu where you wouldn't have to pay to print since it's in color. I think its print on demand there.

Thanks, Mike. And yes, I've been threatening to publish a collection for a while now. I've drawn around 70 political cartoons. It is something I intend to happen in the next 12 months.

Matt, I'm going to play the antagonist on this and bring up the South Park where Cartman freezes himself so he doesn't have to wait for the release of the Wii....

...and how in one alternate future the atheist fight each other screaming, "My science is better than your science."

Don't get me wrong, I don't believe in jebus, alla, zeus or the little red guy with the pitchfork. But the Epistemological Anarchists do have a point (sorta..they are kinda wacko).

Even if you eliminated religion, science would become its own religion. Keep in mind, fundamentalist have scientific evidence, mountains of it, showing that the earth is 10,000 years old, bacteria create oil and that climate change is psuedo-science.
