Union
I always look to right-wing radio for interesting takes on the days news. These astute yakkers know exactly what's causing our economic woes: Barack Obama and Unions.
Turns out UAW members may make enough to own a home, a car, and to send their kids to college. They might even have some leftover cash to spend to keep the economy afloat. Rush Limbaugh, a man who makes $100 million a year ranting into a golden microphone, thinks the auto workers are an example of greed.

Eh...these days I'm fairly anti-union. There are some good unions such as electrician unions or any union that has a journeyman program where you learn a trade or skill (for those who can't afford 2/4 year colleges)
But the UAW? My friend Noah worked at a Peterbuilt plant in Nashville. Some fleets order from the other two plants just because they're non-unionized. He saw a women spraying diesel on unfinished gas tanks (ruins them) because she hated her job. She was caught on tape. They even fired her. A month later: she was back.
He was a QA engineer and non-union and he kept finding all these problems; misplaced rivets (up to 3 inches off!) and they kept giving him more money to shutup.
The UAW is bleeding money from auto makers, but at the same time, US automakers have made really bad decisions. Toyota? If a plant unionized, they pull the entire plant and move devastating the town. They also pay enough that you shouldn't consider a union. Man I love the Japanese...and their weird fetishes. (Honda Hentai anyone? It comes in La Blue Girl Blue)
