We can't trust people to not text while driving, so let's not provide traffic updates using new technology.
As usual, the left wants a nanny state.
I don't really see any problem or real irony here. I don't use twitter myself, but I could see a use case where you check twitter before leaving the driveway or having a passenger check it while driving.
I'm sure some twits people WILL in fact check it while driving, but that doesn't mean the information shouldn't be published.

Are there "think" tanks or college Republican groups who hire people to just surf the Internet and leave right-wing loony comments all day? I try not to waste too much time with comment boards and such (you're just lucky, Mr. Bors) but everywhere I look, the A.V. Club or whatever, there's some jerk posting about the "left" and the terrible plans they have for America.
Or maybe right-wing ideas are just so persuasive on their own that such postings are naturally ubiquitous.
