Cry Off: Gandhi vs. Lady Liberty

Violence in Mumbai--time to cry!

First up: Lady Liberty. I'm ashamed to be represented by this statue. Anytime there's a tragedy, you can always count on her green ass to start weeping. That's not America!

OK, that was alright. Nothing too impressive. Let's see if Gandhi can bring it.

Strong cry. Very sorrowful. The "terrorism" label on the smoke let's you know this isn't a common house fire but a serious issue of international terrorism. I'd say that wins.

Wait--I'm getting word a crying elephant wants in on the Cry Off! This elephant is sad!

OK, where's Vishnu and Ganesh? Obviously, those two are wailing right now. Why won't a cartoonist do them justice?

UPDATE: I WIN

Why doesn't the elephant have irises? Or is it just rolling its eyes back into its head out of disgust at the annoying cliché?

your God seems to smiling while he/she/it cries- are those tears of joy? Terror lover.

On a side note, with all the shit that's gone down in India over the past 60 years- I think Gandhi is way past crying- he should be at least to a bottle of Jack by his side or slitting his wrists by now.

Is it me or does lady liberty look like she's sitting on the can?

And you forgot to add the teardrops on the snakes. Do they represent terrorists or something? It needs more labels.
