New Toon: Anal Searches

Does the constitution give the President authority to conduct random anal cavity searches on Americans? Or, perhaps more importantly, would this question not even raise eyebrows amongst a large percentage of the populace?

Holiday Horror

The OC Weekly has a cool feature for their Christmas issue. Readers and staff wrote disastrous and humorous Christmas stories (all supposedly true) and had them illustrated by some comic artists. My piece is called 'Drug X-Mas' and is the third one down. Other artists include Lloyd Dangle and Lalo Alcaraz. The strange formatting of the comics is due to them not wanting to mess up their web template.

Recent Comics That Rule

Bad Reporter tackles the DaCheney Code.

Too Much Coffee Man muses on the idiot box.

Troubletown uses the Veto Pen (a little outdated since they've agreed to the McCain amendment, but still funny).

New Toon: Products For A New American Century

Something a little different this week. Let me know what you think. If this seems familiar, it's based off of a graphic I posted here about a month ago, which I can't link to because I'm too lazy to set up archives. I'll be doing these PNAC comics every once in a while making fun of existing ridiculous products or ones that probably aren't too far off.

Alito's America

I've been doing some work for the Center For American Progress lately on their new website alitosamerica.org, a new website designed to organize students against Alito.

Here's a poster I designed.
I also designed The Alito Times, made to look like a front page for a newspaper. It has some possible stories we'll be reading in the coming years if this nut gets on the court. To check it out go here and scroll down to Tools For Organizing, it's at the bottom.

Fan Mail!

Lisa Labowski wrote in regards to my War On Christmas comic:

Its MERRY CHRISTMAS! If they get offended by that then they can just get the hell out of america. It was founded as ONE NATION UNDER GOD, NOT one nation under whatever appeases some lame ass liberal.
Lisa, if my comic offends you then the logical solution for you is to leave the country!

John Kerry is an Idiot

A quote by John Kerry "calling our troops terrorist" is getting a lot of play in the right-wing blogosphere (highlighted in black). But I think they are outraged at the wrong part of his comments (in red).

Sen. KERRY: Let me--I--first of all, there is so much more that unites Democrats than divides us. And Democrats have much more in common with each other than they do with George Bush's policy right now. Now Joe Lieberman, I believe, also voted for the resolution which said the president needs to make more clear what he's doing and set out benchmarks, and that the policy hasn't been working. We all believe him when you say, `Stay the course.' That's the president's policy, which hasn't been changing, which is a policy of failure. I don't agree with that. But I think what we need to do is recognize what we all agree on, which is you've got to begin to set benchmarks for accomplishment. You've got to begin to transfer authority to the Iraqis. And there is no reason, Bob, that young American soldiers need to be going into the homes of Iraqis in the dead of night, terrorizing kids and children, you know, women, breaking sort of the customs of the--of--the historical customs, religious customs. Whether you like it or not...

SCHIEFFER: Yeah.

Sen. KERRY: ...Iraqis should be doing that. And after all of these two and a half years, with all of the talk of 210,000 people trained, there just is no excuse for not transferring more of that authority.

Iraqis should be terrorizing their own populace?! No excuse for not transferring the authority to terrorize?! Earth to John: they already are. Can we pull out now?

Two New Comics

We passed an important milestone last week: 1,000 executions! Unfortunately this can't be followed by the cry "USA is #1!" since China smashes us. Saudia Arabia even lops heads off. We've got a lot of catching up to do if America wants to be great again in the execution department.

Then there's a War On Christmas strip.
